1st International Conference on Sustainable Development
The aim of this very first conference on Sustainable Development is to inform and sensitive the Greek public and private sector as well as the broader society about the importance of the implementation of sustainable development policies. Moreover, we would like to address issues of sustainable development in the light of information and sensitisation of public opinion about various specific issues of sustainability on the planet. Finally, our ultimate goal is to engage the public in the philosophy of sustainable development, especially our age group (25-35), and in the long term stimulate, provoke and finally apply related policies. Alongside the speeches of this Conference the presentation of the first Greek handbook on sustainable development will be presented and a number of workshops will be held demonstrating the existing practices within Greece's borders.
