After the welcome message of the Directors of the sponsoring institutions, Véronique Chankowski (École française d’Athènes), Emanuele Papi (Scuola Archeologica Italiana di Atene) and Bonna Wescoat (American School of Classical Studies at Athens), and the introductions by Valeria Meirano (Università di Torino, organizer of the 22nd International Congress on Ancient Bronzes), Carol Mattusch and Alessandra Giumlía-Mair (President and Vice-President of the Standing Committee of the International Congress on Ancient Bronzes), two keynote lectures will be presented:
- New research on the Delphi Charioteer: a monumental bronze sculpture created in Magna Graecia for the Sanctuary of Apollo, by Sophie Descamps-Lequime (Musée du Louvre) and Benoît Mille, (Centre de Recherche et de Restauration des Musées de France, Paris), introduced by Athanasia Psalti (Director, Ephorate of Antiquities of Phocis), and
- Space and place for 'bathing' bronzes at San Casciano dei Bagni, Tuscany, by Jacopo Tabolli (Università per Stranieri di Siena), introduced by Valeria Meirano (Università di Torino).
