MIT Enterprise Forum Greece, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the MIT Club of Greece invite you to join a unique event, “Building Greek Startups the MIT Way”, on Tuesday, March 15, at 19:00 EET.
The event takes place on the occasion of Bill Aulet's book "Disciplined Entrepreneurship: 24 Steps to a Successful Startup," presentation in Greek by AUTh professor Nikos Theodorakis.
Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in the economic growth of Greece. New innovative ventures are promising a better world. However, a good idea or product isn’t enough to get from the research labs to the market. Some fail due to the lack of an adequately experienced and committed team, some because of the absence of a well-designed business model, οr because of the poor marketing plan.
During this event, you will have the opportunity to listen to Bill Aulet talking about disciplined entrepreneurship. Bill is the Managing Director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship and Professor of the Practice at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Drawing on the collective experience of the extremely successful entrepreneurial community of MIT, Bill provides a guide to help entrepreneurs, especially inexperienced ones, start their journey. MITEF Greece and several Greek universities are using Bill’s book to support their own entrepreneurs' growth, helping them take their venture to the next level and enter the global market. Using the pracdtical knowledge from the book 54 ventures that participated in the MITEF Greece Startup Competition have managed to raise more than $100 million in funding.
