Innovation, tools, and services for libraries: the COVID-19 challenge
An Organizing Committee for the Support of Libraries webcast, on April 9, at 18:00 Athens time (17:00 CET): 4 IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) Presidents and the President of the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists share their insights on the topic of “Innovation, tools and library services for libraries: the COVID-19 challenge”. Moderator IFLA Treasurer The crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic has brought unique challenges of global scale. Library professionals were forced to adapt and explore innovative approaches to continue providing quality services to their users, remotely. The aim of this webinar is to present, the new technologies and initiatives in the library sector that proved to be efficient during the COVID-19 pandemic. The program includes five speeches, which will be held in English -Christine Mackenzie, IFLA President 2019-2021, from Australia The webcast will be coordinated by Tonia Arachova, IFLA Treasurer. The Eugenides Foundation, as a member of Organizing Committee for the Support of Libraries, hosts and technically supports the webcast.
